Robert S. Spears
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Mr. Spears has more than 24 years experience in marketing consumer products and services. He has held various brand management positions at General Mills and The Clorox Company, and in 1980 co-founded The RAM Group, a national consulting firm that provides marketing and sales management services to consumer packaged goods manufacturers and specialty retailers. Mr. Spears has extensive experience in the development and introduction of new products. In 1998, he became a director of Shoreline Venture Management, a Palo Alto-based venture capital firm. Mr. Spears is a graduate of Stanford University and Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business.

Curtis A. Spilburg, Ph.D.
Founder and President, Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Spilburg was a co-founder of CV Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CVTX), where he led the overall development of the company's lead serum-cholesterol reducing drug. He also has three issued patents in the area of human cholesterol reduction. Previously, Dr. Spilburg held a faculty position at Washington University School of Medicine and spent 10 years doing research for Monsanto Company. Dr. Spilburg received his B.S. in Chemistry from Carnegie Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University.

Peter G. Milner, M.D.
Board Member
Dr. Milner holds an M.D. from the University of Liverpool and received post-doctoral training in medicine, cardiology and cell biology from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia. In 1992, he co-founded CV Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CVTX) with Mr. Spilburg. At CVT, he served in roles in the areas of finance and business development. Dr. Milner is CEO of ARYx Therapeutics, a privately held biotechnology company located in Santa Clara, CA.

Richard E. Ostlund, M.D.
Co-founder
Dr. Ostlund co-founded Lifeline Technologies, Inc. with Dr. Spilburg. He is also a professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Ostlund is an acknowledged leader in the field of human cholesterol measurement and he has published widely in this area.
